Happy Fall!!

To celebrate the first day of Fall we made one of our favorite pumpkin recipes this morning - Pumpkin Pancakes with Cinnamon Brown Butter Syrup!


Here is the recipe can freeze extras or half the ingredients!

Whisk together:
5 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
8 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. each cinnamon, ground ginger and salt
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Stir together then mix with dry ingredients:
4 cups milk
1 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
6 tbsp. melted butter
4 eggs

1/4 batter for each pancake.

Serve with whipped cream or Cinnamon Brown Butter Syrup ( or both!).

Cinnamon Brown Butter Syrup
1 cup butter- melt butter and let simmer for about 8 minutes till it browns
mix and then add to butter:
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
can also add toasted and chopped pecans.
